Hailed as, “a 21st Century Renaissance Man” by the Washington Post, Powell is a choreographer, composer, painter, sculptor, photographer, filmmaker, graphic designer, and writer. A native Washingtonian, he is a 1995 graduate of the Juilliard School. He regularly contributes to Washington Life Magazine, VOGUE, Washingtonian Magazine, Elle Magazine, and The Washington Post. His photographic clients include Facebook, Google, Hermés, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, Tory Burch, Mulberry, Elie Tahari, Intermix, J. McLaughlin, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Rag & Bone, Discovery Communications, The Aspen Institute, The National Museum of Women in the Arts, The W Hotel, Cafe Milano, The Phillips Collection, Meridian International Center, The Washington Ballet, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Atlantic Council, Goldman Sachs, Neiman Marcus, Cartier, The Ricky Martin Foundation, among many others.
